STF 305 is a physical binary system located 110 light-years from Earth. The primary component is a main-sequence star of spectral type G1V, and the companion is also a main-sequence star of spectral type G5V. Both stars are very similar to our Sun, and they orbit their common center of mass with a period of approximately 531 years. They are currently at their farthest separation and will continue to approach each other until 2310, when they will reach a minimum separation of about 0.4".

103mm - I was able to resolve STF 305 at 132x magnification. Observations of their colors from different observers vary significantly. I observed the primary component as yellow-white and the companion as a darker yellow.
