STF 1334 (38 Lyncis) is a multiple star system located 125 light-years from Earth. The primary component is a white main-sequence star of spectral type A1V with a mass of 1.9 solar masses and a diameter of 3 solar radii. The first companion, B is also a white main-sequence star of spectral type A4V, with a mass of 1.3 solar masses and a diameter of 2.5 solar radii. Companion B is in fact a very close binary star with an estimated orbital period of 2.1 years. The orbital period of the A and B components around each other is estimated to be 2800 years. The system also has a third physical member E, a CPM (Common Proper Motion) companion with a magnitude of 14,7.

103mm - I was able to resolve the components at medium magnification. The primary component appeared white. Although companion B is spectrally similar to the primary component, the difference in brightness of just over 2 magnitudes gave it a bluish tint. Companion E is beyond the reach of the 103mm aperture.
