STF 1722 is a physical pair of orange stars located at a distance of 296 light-years from the Sun. The primary component belongs to the K1IV spectral class subgiant, while the spectral class of the companion is unknown.

72mm - Due to the relatively low brightness of both components and a small separation of 2.6", it could be anticipated that resolving this pair in a small telescope might prove challenging. However, at an magnification of 172x, the components were clearly separated. The presence of a color tint in the stars was not discernible in this case, and it might become apparent in a larger aperture.
