A chain of mostly faint stars around the 10th magnitude forming the shape of an inverted number 5. It can be easily found southwest of the lower right star of Hercules's "keg."
VIC: The brightest star (7.2 mag) in the chain marks the end of the 5, while the second end is represented by a star of 8.9 mag. The other stars are noticeably fainter. Nearby ζ Herculis serves as a reliable guide. A beautiful object for giant binoculars. When observed with an inverted telescope, the inverted 5 transforms into a regular 5.
