A lovely arc of stars mostly around the 9th magnitude, forming a shape reminiscent of the letter C, resembling half of a ring or a headband. It is located approximately 1.5° west of Merak (β UMa).
VIC: A faint but beautiful asterism suitable for larger binoculars. In comparison to the diamond ring near Polaris, it is more regular, even though one star is missing in its southern part, preventing perfection. I also see a broken heart, its left half.
