400/500mm - 18" (6/27/03): fairly faint, small, elongated 3:2 NW-SE, 0.7'x0.5', Sharply concentrated with a fairly bright quasi-stellar nucleus. Forms a pair with similar UGC 8214 2.4' NNE (these are relatively bright UGC galaxies!). Located 8' WNW of mag 6.5 SAO 15999. It seems very odd that this pair of galaxies was missed when NGC 5007 6' SE was observed by William Herschel.
