Édouard Stephan discovered NGC 7395 = St V-8 on 21 Aug 1873 and recorded "eF; vS; R; condensation in the centre." His micrometric position is accurate.
400/500mm - 17.5" (10/5/91): faint, small, round, weak concentration. A mag 13 star is off the NW edge 0.9' from center.
