NGC 719 is a lenticular galaxy in the constellation Aries. It was first discovered, on 24 November 1861, by Heinrich d'Arrest.

400/500mm - 17.5" (12/8/90): very faint, very small, round, broad concentration. Two mag 14 and 15 star are close east. The bright double star Gamma Arietis (components 4.4/4.7) lies 30' S.
