Édouard Stephan discovered NGC 6329 = St VII-14 on 11 Jul 1876. A week later he discovered NGC 6327 to the southwest.
400/500mm - 17.5" (8/1/89): fairly faint, small, round, bright core, stellar nucleus. Third of five in a group with NGC 6327 3.2' SW and NGC 6332 8.1' ESE.
