Its slow rotation points to the possible existence of a planetary system and thus the possibility of the emergence and existence of life on this yellow dwarf star similar to the Sun (both in temperature and luminous power). It would be one of our closest planetary systems, located 11.85 light-years away from Earth. Therefore, it was selected for the Ozma project, whose goal is to establish contact with potential nearby civilizations through radio waves. Along with the star Epsilon Eridani, it was also chosen for the original research project of SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence).
