A variable star of the Mira type, located in the Milky Way, 5.5 degrees south of the star ζ Aquilae. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the period of brightness changes of this red giant has shortened by about 66 days. At the beginning of the 20th century, the period lasted approximately 350 days. Currently, the brightness changes from 5.5mag to 11.5mag in 284 days.
