< An asterism in the shape of a pointed shovel or pickaxe with a common handle is located just under two degrees southwest of φ UMa, halfway to 26 UMa, representing, along with θ UMa in the Great Bear's wrist. The slightly curved handle is formed by three eighth-magnitude stars, followed by a gap where additional fainter stars obstruct the view. The actual blade is outlined by a sextet of stars, two of which are seventh magnitude to the west, while the rest are of the ninth magnitude, and the tip is even of the tenth magnitude.

VIC: It took me a while to orient myself in the star field. It certainly won't belong to the prominent pieces.
