Butterfly

< The well-known large open star cluster M6 has the shape of a butterfly. Its insect-like form is visible even through a small telescope. Unfortunately, in our latitudes, it doesn't rise very high above the horizon, so it remains somewhat in the shadow of more accessible objects.

VIC: I see a butterfly there, but the ten brightest stars resemble an open book with the spine facing up. To observe it during short summer nights, an unobstructed view to the south is needed.
