An extensive chain of over twenty stars with different brightness, ranging from 6th to 10th magnitude, forming the shape of the letter J. Located southwest of the open star cluster M11 and north of M26.

VIC: Another object more suitable for smaller instruments. It's definitely worth a look when visiting the constellation Scutum. It stands out relatively well against the surrounding background, and it's hard to overlook. Both open star clusters are easy to locate using this asterism.
