600/800mm - 24" (5/11/13): brightest in the KTG 41 triplet = Rose 8 quartet. At 375x appeared moderately bright, fairly small, round, 30" diameter, gradually increases to a small bright nucleus. CGCG 158-011 (double system) lies 0.9' NNW and CGCG 158-010 lies 1.1' SSE. A mag 10 star lies 2.8' S. The triplet is 9' WSW of mag 8.3 HD 104998. Arp 97, a faint pair with plumes, lies 15' SE.
