400/500mm - 18" (4/5/03): extremely faint, moderately large. Appears as a very low surface brightness hazy region with very weak concentration. Two faint stars are superimposed; the brighter is 14.5 magnitude and is north of center. It was difficult to judge the size as the low surface brightness halo blends into the background, but seems roughly 1.5'. This galaxy was assumed to be NGC 4025, located 19' SSE but based on the superimposed stars and very low surface brightness I was able to identify this object.
