400/500mm - 18" (4/25/09): fairly faint, fairly large, very elongated 7:2 NNW-SSE, 2.1'x0.6', low surface brightness. Bracketed by two stars mag 11.0 and 11.7 to the north and south (separation 2.7'). Located 6.4' NNW of mag 7.4 HD 101753 which detracts from viewing. NGC 3827 lies 30' N.
