900/1200mm - 48" (4/20/17): at 488x; moderately bright and large, oval 3:2 NW-SE. Contains a relatively bright, well defined thin bar oriented NW-SE through the center. The knotty spiral arms, though, forming a squashed "S" or "Z" shape were not noticed in poor seeing. A mag 13 star lies 2' SW. Mrk 1445 lies 3.5' SSW and CGCG 268-013 is 5' SSW.
