600/800mm - 24" (2/16/15): at 322x; this is the western component of an overlapping pair of extremely faint edge-ons with UGC 2943. A mag 13.7 star is near the east end. Occasionally an extremely faint stellar-like object popped, which is probably the nucleus of one of these galaxies, but it was too fleeting to determine which one. Located just 8' WNW of 4.4-magnitude 37 Tauri and 6' ESE of IC 357.
