600/800mm - 24" (2/5/13): at 282x appeared faint, very low surface brightness oval patch among a group of stars which interfere a bit with viewing. Roughly 0.7'x0.5', though the surface brightness is too low to determine an edge to the halo. A mag 12.5 star is at the east edge. Located 3.8' WNW of a mag 9.5 star. This dwarf irregular is a member of the NGC 1023/891 group. UGC 2038 lies 5' ESE.
