600/800mm - 24" (2/13/18): at 282x; this superthin galaxy appears as a very faint, ghostly sliver, ~10:1 NNW-SSE, ~1.2'x0.1', slightly brighter central region but overall very low surface brightness, fades out at the tips. Although often visible, I couldn't hold this galaxy continuously as it popped in an out of visibility. Situated 3' NE of a mag 10.3 star. A mag 12.5 star is 1.6' NE. NGC 877, the brightest in the group (LGG 53), lies 55' NW.
