600/800mm - 24" (12/12/17): at 375x; fairly faint, fairly small, oval 4:3 SW-NE, strongly concentrated with a bright core that increases to very small brighter nucleus. The halo has a low surface brightness. Situated 1' S of W Pegasi, a Mira-type variable with a period of 346 days and a mag range of 7.6-13. The star is currently at mag ~11.5 (decreasing since August) and didn't display an obvious color. CGCG 476-009 lies 3.9' SE.
