400/500mm - 18" (10/29/11): at 225x appeared as a very faint, thin edge-on ~7:1 NW-SE, ~1.3'x0.2'. Easier than expected for a V = 14.0 flat galaxy. There is no central bulge but the galaxy is slightly brighter in the central portion. A mag 14.4 star is at the SE tip. Located 1.9' SW of a mag 9.5 star and a number of mag 12-13 stars occupy the vicinity.
