Albert Marth discovered NGC 7411 = m 505, along with NGC 7409 and 7415, on 13 Sep 1863 and noted "vF, vS." His position is accurate.
400/500mm - 17.5" (9/2/89): faint, very small, round, bright core. Brightest of trio with NGC 7415 5' ENE and NGC 7409 11' WSW. A pretty double star is 6' N.
