Albert Marth discovered NGC 7313 = m 486 on 24 Sep 1864 and noted "eF, E." His position is within 1' of ESO 533-052 = PGC 69242. Herbert Howe measured an accurate position at Denver in 1898-99.
400/500mm - 17.5" (10/13/90): extremely faint, small, elongated ~N-S. Pair with NGC 7314 4.4' NE.
600/800mm - 24" (9/25/19): at 375x; faint, fairly small, slightly elongated NNW-SSE, ~24"x20", low even surface brightness. Located 4.5' SW of much brighter and larger NGC 7314.
