Albert Marth discovered NGC 7033 = m 435, along with NGC 7034, on 17 Sep 1863 and noted "vF, S, R." His RA is 2 seconds too large.
400/500mm - 17.5" (8/1/89): very faint, small, round, weak concentration, very faint stellar nucleus. Close pair with NGC 7034 1.6' N.
600/800mm - 24" (6/30/16): at 322x; moderately bright, fairly small, round, 24" diameter, well concentrated with a small bright core. A mag 10.8 star is 2.3' NNW. Forms a similar pair with NGC 7034 1.6' NNE.
