John Herschel discovered NGC 7032 = h3857 on 20 Jul 1835 and noted "vF; R; glbM; 25"." His position is accurate.

600/800mm - 25" (10/10/15 - OzSky): at 244x; fairly faint, fairly small, slightly elongated, 0.6'x0.5', broad weak concentration. A distinctive 7' group of mag 10.5 and fainter stars that is extended N-S lies ~6' W.
