Édouard Stephan discovered NGC 6327 = St VII-13 on 18 Jul 1876.
400/500mm - 17.5" (8/1/89): extremely faint and small, round. Located between a mag 14.5 star at the southern tip 0.6' from center and a mag 13 star 0.8' N of center. Located 3.2' SW of NGC 6329 and the second of five in a group.
