Édouard Stephan discovered NGC 6105 = St XI-43, along with NGC 6107, on 1 Jul 1880. His micrometric position is very accurate. Stephan found all 7 NGC galaxies in this cluster and measured the positions over three nights; July 1, 7 and 10.

400/500mm - 17.5" (5/10/86): faint, very small, slightly elongated, small brighter core. Located 2.6' SW of NGC 6107 in cluster.
