Édouard Stephan discovered NGC 6032 = St XI-40, along with NGC 6035, on 9 Jun 1880. His position is accurate.
300/350mm - 13.1" (4/10/86): very faint, fairly small, slightly elongated N-S. Appears as an unconcentrated diffuse glow which requires averted vision. Pair with NGC 6035 6.6' SE.
