John Herschel discovered NGC 3467 = h798 on 18 Jan 1828 (sweep 120), along with NGC 3466. His position matches UGC 6045.
400/500mm - 17.5" (4/22/95): fairly faint, small, round, 40" diameter. Appears slightly smaller than NGC 3466 located 7.0' W but has a sharper concentration with a small bright core. A mag 11 star lies 3.5' NW (similar brightness to the mag 11 star preceding NGC 3466).
