400/500mm - 17.5" (4/6/02): moderately bright, fairly large, elongated ~2:1 NNW-SSE, 2.0'x0.8', broad concentration but no well defined core. Several stars are nearby including two mag 13.5 stars at the north edge and a couple more stars within 1'. Very possibly one of these is a stellar companion 1.0' NNE of center (2MASXi J1021541+741135). The faint stars at the edges were a bit startling as it initially looked similar to a partially resolved cluster.
