John Herschel discovered NGC 3076 = h3208 on 12 Feb 1836 and logged "eF, S, R, 15"." His RA is 33 tsec too large.
400/500mm - 17.5" (3/16/96): faint, small, round, 35" diameter, even surface brightness. Located 50" S of a mag 13 star.
