Royal Frost discovered IC 3065 = F. 834 on a plate taken at Harvard's Arequipa station on 7 May 1904.

600/800mm - 24" (5/20/20): at 225x and 375x; fairly faint, fairly small, slightly elongated N-S, even surface brightness, 0.6'x0.5' diameter. A mag 10.7 star is 7' NNE and a mag 11.2 star is 6' ESE. Located 53' W of M99.
