Stephane Javelle discovered IC 1387 = J. 1-435 on 6 Nov 1891.

400/500mm - 18" (8/14/07): faint, small, elongated 3:2 SSW-NNE, 24"x16", low even surface brightness. A mag 14 star lies 27" N. Located 28' NE of NGC 7069 and furthest east in a group of 5 IC galaxies discovered by Javelle about 1.5 degrees SW of M2.
