Stephane Javelle discovered IC 1341 = J. 1-402, along with IC 1346 and IC 1350 on 7 Aug 1891. His position is accurate.

600/800mm - 24" (7/11/18): at 375x; faint, fairly small, slightly elongated WSW-ENE, 30"x20", low uniform surface brightness. A mag 14.8 star is close off the south edge, 40" from center. A mag 9.7 star (HD 199883) lies 2.8' N. IC 1346 lies 20' E (similar redshift).
