Stephane Javelle discovered IC 1319 = J. 1-387 on 20 Jul 1892. His position is accurate.

300/350mm - 13.1" (8/17/85): faint, small, round, very weak concentration. Located 2.1' SE of mag 8.5 SAO 163559 which interferes with viewing. Forms a pair with NGC 6912 13' SE. Also viewed the week before on 8/11/85 with similar notes.

400/500mm - 17.5" (8/8/02): fairly faint, small, slightly elongated, 0.6'x0.5', very weak concentration. Located 2.1' SE of mag 8.5 HD 194394, which makes the observation more difficult. Forms a close pair with MCG +02-52-006 2.9' SW which was not noticed.
