Stephane Javelle discovered IC 1313 = J. 1-386 on 25 Jul 1892. His position is accurate.

600/800mm - 24" (6/22/17): at 200x and 375x; fairly faint, moderately large, roundish, ~1' diameter, very small brighter nucleus (no core). A 13th magnitude star is superimposed on the west side [18" from center].
