Stephane Javelle discovered IC 1167 = J. 1-368 on 8 Jul 1891.

400/500mm - 18" (7/12/10): very faint, very small, round, 12" diameter. First in a group of galaxies including IC 1168 2.7' SE, UGC 10169 12' SE and UGC 10164 13' SE. Forms a close pair with LEDA 3858573 1.0' NE, an extremely faint and small glow, roughly 6" diameter.
